BOMB STICKERS - NOT COUNTRIES!

A cute and harmless BOMBING a car of a good friend of mine. (Namely Roar Berge, Norway´s first hard core surfer. Roar is still ripping). Footy by Tania Nyberg. Everybody loves stickers! Young or old ? our generation and the new generation just love it. Maybe the elder hate it? I don´t know. I guess even they are fond of stickers. Stickers is something we find defying us as a person ? stating our image kind of. Weather it is fly-fishing equipment, graffiti, tattoo, surfing, MMA, skateboarding or whatever the sticker is "branding". The mix of stickers and logos on your car or laptop makes you namely the one you are. It reflects you! Stickers are something that catches our attention and fascination when we are kids. As kids we just get super stoked on getting em and we stick em on our bedroom door, skateboard, pc, mobile phone or just wherever. Stickers are fun. Interesting side note: It took us quite a long time, nearly two years, and four collections, before we got the perfect sized popular SHIT Talking Bubble paper hang tag shaped as our bubble logo and as a real sticker ? fitting perfectly in the die-cut of our SHIT perforated grip. One of our best and cheapest ways of marketing back in the days when we established the Trademark, (and still are), we are talking about 2000 to 2004, was to bomb with our SHIT Talking Bubble Logo stickers wherever we travelled... Ski lifts, road signs, night clubs, skate parks, bins, road lights, the city picture etc. At some party´s we put em on random peoples back while patting them and saying "hi man/girl... ohh, my mistake... you looked like a friend of mine", and they were walking around with a sticker on their back all night ? a funny and super effective way of marketing. Bombing was so effective that we gave thousands and thousands of stickers away. It cost lots of bucks in the end. But we got our name out there, people have noticed the name and logo ? and often just didn´t know what it was about. And the curiosity stuck in their mind inconstantly until they read about us in a mag or online. There was a time that we got many complaints from random shops downtown, private persons who had gotten the SHIT Talking Bubble sticker on their car or mail boxes etc. We even got a call from the Oslo City hall after a Norwegian Skateboarding Championship downtown in Oslo... because of road signs etc etc was bombed with our stickers. It was so much complaint that the marketing became bad marketing for some. And to upset or destroy private people´s property was never the intention. The result was that we had to quit giving stickers away for free. The result after being cool and gift full, giving out free stickers to everyone who asked was that people (often kids) had so many SHIT stickers that they stupidly stuck them all over... who to blame? Off course SHIT! We gave them away for free. We took immediately responsibility ? and still today our stickers cost a few bucks, but upon all purchase, in shops or online, we off course give some for free. Interesting side note: I got accused for bombing a bar in my home town where my girlfriend worked ? I was kicked out for twelve months... No joke. At that time I did nearly no bombing, but people (crew and friends) went berserk. And I got the blame. Sometimes even people get wild and put the stickers on their ass, forehead, tits (we are now talking about girls), or rad guys with the sticker on the chest or wherever. There are a dozen crazy pictures out there. It is pretty funny! I have even bombed world famous skateboarders and good role models like Danny Montoya, Kenny Anderson and Jeremy Wray (my hero back in the days) at ISPO tradeshow many years ago. They thought it was hilarious. The SHIT Talking Bubble Logo Sticker is way funnier than "competitive" companies like Quicksilver, Volcom, Vans etc. Cause it is more hilarious with a SHIT bubble logo sticker on a person's back than example a square DC logo , right? (That said, I will add that I admire and look up to the mentioned companies). Bombing stickers is the definitively most effective and cheapest way of marketing. No doubt! Visit one of our shops and ask gently and you will get a SHIT stickers for free. And put it somewhere smart. HILARIOUS "MORNING WOOD" TEMPERATURE METER

I have been training regularly at Torggata Bad og Treningssenter downtown in Oslo since I opened the SHIT FLAG STORE Oslo back in 2009. And first today I noticed the hilarious temperature meter hidden in the corner in the sauna... It is most elder people (50 and up) that exercise here, and this is a confirmation that it doesn´t become any better the elder you get. I guess it only gets worse... Hahahaha!

FAKIE 50/50 FAKIE FLIP OUT - BARCELONA

Last visit in Barca (aka Barcelona) with the team I also got a few tricks captured on both photo and tape. This trick here is a trick that I have ever done before. It was like it was meant for me to try and do that trick at exactly that spot at exactly that day. (This flick shows a try and not the one I busted). Filmed by Oystein Janke Ellingsen. SNOWBOARDING HIGHLIGHT OF MY LIFE

This poster is hanging at the SHIT warehouse just outside Stavanger. It makes me miss snowboarding a bit. I am doing a basic Fs 360 Indy over this nice road gap and yellow Seat car a sunny day. This is the best shot of me snowboarding. As I am commuting to/from Oslo and have been doing it more or less since beginning of 2009. I always drive over the mountains in spring/summer when there´s no snow. And the other day I drove pass the spot where the picture above is taken about ten years ago. This is how the spot looks like in summertime. You see the SHIT DEATHSTAR in the backgrond there. We were coming from right to left, and the kicker was not so far away from the metal fence thing there. I am not so fond in snowboarding anymore as skateboarding and surfing have completely taken over. This is the poster for the PEPSI SNOWBOARDSHOW that I pulled off downtown Stavanger in summertime ten years ago. A special shout out to Thomas Andre Olsen, Andre and Orjan who all ripped that day this pic were taken. And Ola Callander, Jorgen Michaelsen and Thomas Gausel Olsen. Fun fact: I was sponsored (Flow in Norway by distributors) by Vans boots, Smith goggles, Option Snowboards, Switch bindings and NFA Snowboard clothes back in those days. And I was representing Surfsentrum Surf Shop downtown Stavanger as I also worked there. :P

HEAVY WORKOUT AT THE GYM

I am back in Stavanger for a few days and I had a good workout today at the gym. I have been training for some years and I feel it helps my surfing and skateboarding a lot. Most by reducing risk of injury, but also having better control of the body. I had a good sesh at my friend Hansi´s gym STAVANGER MMA SENTER. Check it out here: www.stavangermma.no. (You´ll also find em on Facebook). Hansi is an good MMA fighter with quite a few titles, and he has even made this fight-cage in the gym that they train/fight in. (Hansi was skateboarding much back in the days, and he is also surfing). I think it is great when people have a variety of interests and keep on enjoying it even if it might be a big contrast to skateboarding or surfing. It makes every one of us more individual. Back exercise.

FOUR MELLOW TRICK SKATEBOARDING FLICK

A trick not captured on picture nor film of me before. The classic Varial Heelflip. One of the tricks that I love the most. The flick reflects a typical skatebaording session. Only a handful of tricks was captured and edited to this little flick. Skateboarding is so fun, and busting tricks feels just great. This session I landed a new trick that I ever have landed before, namely Heelflip to Bs Tail. I have tryed it a dosen times, but have just not ever landed it. Unfortunately the trick was not caught on tape. But I am stoked about the trick and hope to get it on tape or take a picture of it soon. It is Thomas Andenes that fimed the tricks and I edited it myself. Thomas is an good skateboarder. Thanks Thomas! Mentzoni, Odda and Thomas visited Oslo this weekend, and we have been hanging out and skating. And I was lucky to have Thomas film a couple of tricks of me just ten minutes before they headed back home towards Haugesund. -ENJOY THE FLICK! ;)

BIGSPINFLIP TO BS TAIL - A NEW TRICK IN MY TRICK-BAG

Bigspinflip To Bs Tail. It´s also captured on tape and will be out here soon. (Pic: Thomas Andenes) I have been skateboarding active since beginning of the 90´s at the time when skateboarding just got leagle in Norway. Skateboarding was banned in Norway from 1979 to 1989. This makes over two decades with MUCH skateboarding and wearing out a couple of dosen decks and shoes. Learning new tricks are hard. It is repeating, repeating and repeating... And suddenly you get it right! That´s a great feeling and worth all the practising. Learning new tricks now a days (for me at my age..) happens very seldom. But damn how sweet it tastes when you first make it! While skateboarding you every now and then try new twists of tricks that you are already safe on doing. And one of my favorite tricks (and a trick that I am safe on doing) is Kicflip to Bs Tail. And a new progressive twist of that trick is this Bigspinflip To Bs Tail that I just learned. I´m pretty stoked busting it! This is a classic Kickflip to Bs Tail. This new trick (Bigspinflip To Bs Tail) is captured on tape with a few more tricks from the same session. EXPLODING BEARINGS - SUCKS BIGTIME

A quick stopper on a good sk8 sesh. Mentz, Odda and Thomas came to Oslo for the weekend and we were all rigged up and ready for a nice sk8 sesh after my work. We cruised up to this very nice spot just ten min from the Oslo shop. The spot has many various curbs and nice concrete ground. After skating about an hour my wheel rolled off and away while doing a Smithgrind... The outer bearing had exploded and all balls were gone... Normally I always have a spare bearing and sk8 tool with me in my bag, but not today. I brought no bag. Dammit! And nobody else had a spare bearing either. So it was a quick stop for that sk8 session. It was good as long as it lasted though. Good hanging out with the boys. They rip! Good friends and awesome skateboarders.

SURF SESH AT SALTSTEINEN IN LARVIK (INCLUDING A NICE SURF FLICK)

Early bird! Hitting the water about 06:00 in the morning. For the past weeks I have been surfing Saltsteinen in Larvik. Larvik is just to hours from Oslo, so I push the pedal on the SHIT DEATHSTAR to the floor right after I close the shop at 17:00 in the evenings. If no traffic jam, I am in the water a bit over 19:00 and surf until sunset and totally dark. (About 21-22:00). This is time enough to catch some good waves and to get real worn out. Cutback early morning at Saltsteinen a nice sunny September day. After the late evening sesh I chill in the SHIT DEATHSTAR and enjoy the silence and listen to the waves hit the shore. I camp at the spot crossing my fingers that there are something left the upcoming morning. I wake up the day after when it gets bright enough (about 05:30) and have a quick look at the sea, and then have a classic oatmeal breakfast (that I love) before I jump in the cold and wet wetsuit and hit the waves again. I have had many good sessions at Saltsteinen and brought my Gopro cam with me every time, capturing the atmosphere. I made this little flick that I hope you enjoy. I surf a couple of hours in the early morning and drive towards Oslo a bit before 09:00 so I can make it to my SHIT FLAG STORE in Oslo in time. I open the shop 11:00. Having a surf sesh early morning before work is just magic. Makes my day! You who surf know what I am talking about! :) Pretty nice spot. And with awesome locals.

My intention was to capture more sk8 footy and more surf footy. But often it is less effort spent on filming while on tour, and all the time is spent on just having a good time and sucking up every minute possible skateboarding and surfing. That´s exactly what happened! The flick turns out like a very bad music video. The song "PUMPED UP KICKS" by FORSTER THE PEOPLE became the LA visit song this time as it is very popular in LA and whenever we took the car out for a spin, the song was played. The song is totally new to us as you will notice the very bad dancing and mime-sync. But we had an awesome time singing loud in the car. We had a hell of a time. ...I have postponed this flick on my blog in terms Thomas called me up and told me what the song is about. But "what the heck" - songs are to enjoy and to get in a good mood. And that is just what we do... PIMP MY (P)RIDE - FOXTAIL ON THE SHIT DEATHSTAR`S ANTENNA

It is weird and cool. Having a Foxtail at the car´s antenna is pretty weird. It is an old 70-80´s Norwegian anti fashion (RAANE) that might be something like Redneck/Hilbilly thing to do. They sure got their own weird twist on things. Some are pretty cool after my opinion. And after having the Foxtail on the SHIT DEATHSTAR the van is complete. We already got it pimped up with big fat dices hanging in the mirror and also the classic Wounderbaum. It just can´t be better. The saying "Pimp my ride" hereby have a new saying-, if you already are satisfied with your "ride". Namely "PIMP MY (P)RIDE"! The Foxtail in about 100km/t on the way back home from LYNGDAL DYRSKUE (Farmers Market), where the Foxtail was purchased.

I was lucky to meet a lot of cool people at LYNGDAL DYRSKUE and a bunch of cool skateboarders. I signed a lot of posters, decks, hats, wallets and even arms. And a couple of cute girls asked nicely to take some pictures of us together. I look like a dork, and got honestly a little bit shy when they asked... Anyway. It was fun and it was a great time. ON THE ROAD AGAIN - LYNGDAL DYRSKU (FARMERS MARKET)

Happy camper on a bumpy road. Cruised down South with SHIT DEATHSTAR to the countryside to attend the annual farmers LYNGDAL DYRSKU. This is our third year we are invited. Last year was a blast, and also the first year. This event started up about 100 years ago while people traded animals and had auctions and exhibitions with farm animals. A huge change have happened, and I am very happy to be a part of this odd event. On the way I picked up a mobile ramp from The Shop in Larvik. The crew from the shop helped riggin it on the trolley back on the SHIT DEATHSTAR. And what a beautiful sight it became. I am dreaming of making this mobile ramp for the camper that only take minutes to make ready to skate, and one person alone can handle it. Maybe something to invest in in future. The Larvik boys posin in front of the SHIT "road train". Vegard Tregde and a guy a didn´t get the name of bought both their own Mentzoni ¾ Jersey and was very stoked about Mentzoni´s own piece. Mentzoni is in Denmark tattooing himself at Uncle Allan, so couldn´t make it this year. The kids missed him. Yet his loss! ;P Vegard with a nice Blunt to Fakie for Mentzoni. Old me in the air. Melon grab. I skate the ramp all day in between serving customers. Tricks were like hot knife in soft butter on this ramp. The ramp is mellow and good to skate. And all the kids love it. NIGHT SURF AT SALTSTEINEN

Surfing Saltsteinen late at night... Right after operating hours in the Oslo shop I drove like a madman to Larvik and Saltsteinen surf spot. There was flood on the highway so it took twice as long as normal... Spent over three hours and did barely make to catch some waves before the dark took over. The Gopro cam only captured a wave, it was too dark... You can barely see whats going on here. I´m on a wave. :P I uploaded the flick as well. The Gopro cam is lying a little bit. You could see better than what you see here. But after the surf sesh, when taking the last wave in, it was totally black. There was over fifty persons in the water. A few heads, like Jonas Paulsen, but a lot of wankers jumping off their boards when big sets came in... Deadly for the ones behind who might get their board in the head. Surfing 101: Do NEVER jump off your board if a big set comes. If you cannot handle to duck dive big waves. Stay out of the water when it´s big. Practice and be safe on the duck dive and do not set others in danger. Here´s a taste of surfing in the dark. Gopro only captured one wave...the rest of the tape was black.

RELEASE CONCERT AND AFTERPARTY WITH REMI AND THE THIRD BRIGADE

The THIRD BRIGADE. Had an great evening with my buddy Remi who took me to this concert of some friends of him. The band THIRD BRIGADE is a Metal/Rock band and they had a new album release where they played the complete album. It was great. Funny look at the bride there. Hehehe. Great atmosphere. Cheers. The concert was at GAMLA in Oslo. Tight crew. Third Brigade´s three albums. All have been designed by Remi Julieboe who also have done multiple decks for us. The bear Remi Julieboe himself on the way to afterparty. Check out that awesome beard. Lead Vocal Espen in Third Brigade on the way to afterparty with a SHIT sticker on his shoulder. :P After the concert, some beers, and some more beers it was afterparty with the boys. TACO-PASTA - PERFECT NUTRIENT FOR SKATEBOARDERS & SURFERS

Good food for good folks. Nutrient is a basic need - and why not make it good!? My buddy Grueber (aka Hans-Erik Nilsen) introduced this taco pasta last year. When he invited me over for dinner and said taco-pasta I threw up a bit in my mouth. I was like: WTF?!? How groce is that.... But in the other hand... I love pasta and I really love taco and Mexican inspired food - so I took the chance. And I must tell... It was overwhelming. We ate like apes and emptied the whole thing. If you want to invite over some friends or make an alternative family Saturday dinner - this must be tried! Make sure you make twice as much (or more) as people will eat much and it is also fabolous night snack. This is how it looks before the oven. I made it all by myself this time. :P And when I can do it - you can do it! ;) Here´s how it´s done: TACO-PASTA, 4-6 persons Set oven to 200 Celsius before you start. -Boil 500gram pasta-penne -Fry meatloaf (chicken meatloaf is good), 500-800gram with taco spice -Put fried meatloaf in ceramic form -put on 1-2 sliced tomatoes + half to one chopped onion and some fine chopped garlic -mix 3dl sour cream and 1 box (230g) hot taco sauce -mix this with the boiled pasta and put over the fried meatloaf (stomp it a bit) -put on grated cheese, ca 250gram -Top with tortilla chips. Push them with pin down -Put in oven about 15 minutes. Take out when it looks finished (not burned) The boys enjoying the dinner. From left: Marius, Grueber, Ellingsen and me. PS! POOL EVENING WITH THE BOYS

Pool is chill and relaxing. Just look at this nice pic. I was out with the boys playing pool and having a couple of beers. Playing pool is very fun and chill in a weekday. Like this evening I had four win in a row. Some pretty good shots, like shooting the white over a ball and then hit my ball into the corner hole. Something that I tried on and succeed with. But sometimes I am far, far away of hitting. And that is so frustrating. But overall it is such a good time and when I win a couple of rounds I get pretty stoked. Torgeir Skog opening shot. BRUNCH ON THE TOP OF NORWAY

Classic Norwegian nature. Check out the curvy road. I drove over the mountains to Oslo with the SHIT DEATHSTAR from Stavanger. Top of the mountains have beautiful scenery. It is now peak summer season where nature is fruity, colorful and nice. I had an nice pit stop with brunch in the middle of the mountains. Norwegian nature is very nice. It was so relaxing, silent and warm in the sun. I just love Norway. Aaaaaah!

3FLIP BACK IN THE DAYS - ABOUT 2001/2002

Back in the days. Kim Laland with a Fs Kickflip and me just behind with a 3Flip. My friend Kim Laland who shoots a lot of SHIT product pictures sent me this little flick via SMS yesterday. It is from one of our billion skate sessions back in ca 2001-2002 at FABRIKKEN about 45min outside of Stavanger. It is in the basement of SANDNES GARN that Asgaut Mjoelnes dad owns and are CEO of. We used to skate FABRIKKEN a lot during the winter time. And in the basement it was huge space and warm. We skated only in T-shirt and got soaking wet of sweat. So many gnarly tricks went down there. And a lot is captured on tape. One of maybe Norway´s best street skateboarders at that time Morten Blidensol ripped bigtime. With tricks like Fakie Ollie Fakie Five-0 and KFlip out and aslo Fakie Fs Flip out... I am not sure, but I think he landed one with Fakie 3Flip off as well. Asgaut Mjoelne is a good friend and is a good skateboarder and surfer. Back in the days he was really good and was very technical and did a dozen different manuals. Asgaut made one or two skateboarding dvd´s, one is named FERSK SKATING (means FRESH SKATEBOARDING). I got a couple of tricks in it. If I get the hold of the video I will post it here on my blog. Both Asgaut and Kim skates very good and got good parts in that dvd.

TV INTERVIEWED IN HOLLYWOOD

Nervous in fron of the cam... Upon my LA visit I joined my good friend Thomas Berg, Actor and Producer, at the HOLLY SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL. He was nominated for his music video HJERTEKNUSER as mentioned in earlier blogs. At the festival Thomas and I got lot of attention decked out in SHIT. At the HOLLY SHORTS final day party at Geisha in HOLYWOOD, prices for best videos were handed out, and there was a film team from SHORTS INTERNATIONAL documenting the event. They asked me about an interview, and I told em shyly that I am not an actor or producer ? I was there supporting my friend... They knew and they wanted an interview with "Mr. SHIT". I got quite nervous... But jumped into it. It was a pleasant interview. A Tasmanian actress and a producer with Thomas an me at the HOLLY SHORTS party. After the interview even more people came over and asked about SHIT and gave compliments. That´s fun. Someone even asked me if it was me who asked the film crew to do an interview with me, but it was on the other way around. It is absolutely not in the Norwegians nature to be self-possessed and ask for an interview. SHORTS INTERNATIONAL guys said they have over 40 million viewers. Thomas Berg did unfortunately not receive any prizes for his HJERTEKNUSER music video - so he got super smashed and fell asleep on the scene... (This is just a joke. But the picture turns out as if it was for real. Thomas is an great actor). Hahaha.

LA DAY 10 - INSPIRATION

Inspiration. A building painted red and with nice letters on it. HEART. Upon my visit in California I was most of the time in Hollywood. LA is a huge city where you spend a lot of time in the car cause of the traffic jams. You gotta be patient to live here. And if you visit LA without getting a parking ticket, DUI or any other tickets by driving ? you have mad luck! You have not been in Los Angeles if you not have gotten a parking ticket to prove it. Lol. Driving, skating or walking the streets of LA you get hit by a lot of visual commercial, posters, light signs, nice colored buildings, electric cables, long palm trees etc. This is typically LA and I think it is beautiful. I have taken some pictures and this place inspires me. I got very interested in the different signs and fonts. There is much old signs that have been there for at least 20-30 years ? and even the business the sign market is not even there anymore. But I think it has a good charm and the colors and shapes are great. Santa Monica BLVD, CA. I collected some letters from different signs I liked and I made these two rough designs that I think would look great on a T-shirt. These letters are from around Hollywood and you can actually find them all if you have an good eye. SHIT LA, Horisontal. SHIT LA, Box. Maybe this design, or similar is something that will come in future collections. LA DAY 9 - SURF´S UP! SURFING HUNTINGTON BEACH

Thomas and me after sesh 1. This is the juice of light for our sore dark souls. Today was fully dedicated to the ocean and the waves. After a big breakfast and a little bit of work we head to Huntington Beach pier and the waves. It was choppy and maybe even crappy conditions with onshore wind. But the ocean was inviting and it is just so good to only wear a trunk while surfing. We surfed a session and then we went for a lunch at TK BURGER. The crew at TK was curious about SHIT. They insisted in sticking some stickers up inside and outside. And it was a true pleasure. I gave them a dozen pair of sunglasses, T-shirts and a hat. They loved it. The Turkey burger with chips was very good. Maybe one of my best. SHIT represented at TK BURGER in Huntington Beach, CA. After the lunch, we fooled around and visited many shops. And the interest in SHIT was the same as elsewhere in LA, they like it a lot. I always hand over some stickers and sunglasses. And people are grateful. A sweet Lefthander in Huntington Beach, CA. A super taco tapas meal with Corona and a Tequila shot at SHARKEEZ made the day complete. What a day! LA DAY 8 - AMERICAN APPAREL HEAD QUARTERS DOWNTOWN

American Apparel, Downtown Los Angeles, USA. Today was magic. Drove downtown LA for my second meeting with American Apparel. Traffic is like hell, and off course I took the wrong exit and stressed big time to get on the right track and enter the American Apparel HQ. Entering the showroom desks two cute girls were welcoming me and one had already sticked up a SHIT Talking Bubble sticker and she said she loved it. Nationalistic. I love it. The American flag is beautiful. Christy welcomed me and took me on a tour in their production sections, art departments, sales, fabrics, trim etc etc. About 3000 people work here, they make a lot of clothes, and just started making laundry and shoes. And I must say I am very impressed. They even got a mini hospital there for their employees. And every day outside there is a different kind of food truck for their lunch or dinner, like taco truck etc. I am very happy for the good service at American Apparel, and I am excited about what the future might bring. I will not reveal anything - but I can tell that something is cooking! This is where the magic goes down. QC (Quality Control). Funny but important though. After the meeting I drove down to Venice, had an very good and quick halibut avocado taco lunch and then went for a skate at the new concrete park. So many rippers there and good atmosphere. Many skaters asked about SHIT and I informed them well. A few tried my board and they loved it. It is Chapman in NY who made the deck. During the skate two bearings exploded and I couldn´t skate anymore... Pretty irritating when this happens, but it will be great with new bearings and a new sesh soon. Today the music video was screening at Sunset 5, LAEMMLE THEATRE in HOLLYWOOD, and the applause and feedback from the audience was very good. LA DAY 6 - CCS IN SANTA MONICA WITH MORE

Sunset BLVD 5, just outside the LEMMLE THEATRES, from one bar to the other... together with my buddie Thomas Aske Berg who took the pic. Wherever we go in LA wearing SHIT clothes we get a lot of people approaching us and telling how much they love it. It is nothing that I am used to from back home in Norway, but down here in LA it is overwhelming. I have visited a dozen shops, bars and restaurants, and wherever I go there´s always persons asking what it is, where they can get it and how much they like it. It is pretty crazy. The six days here I guess that about 200 persons have commented it positively. I got a good stomach feeling about SHIT in the US - and I am looking forward to the future to get business rolling over here. By mistake we ended up waling super hungry in main street in Santa Monica. I saw this huge CCS shop and we walked in for a peek. We were not a meter in the shop before this guy came over and said "Awesome hat - where did you get it". So one thing leads to the other and 4-5 of the workers there were chatting with us. I handed out sunglasses and stickers off course. They loved it and hoped it could be something they could carry. Time will show! Awesome guys at CCS in Santa Monica. They loved the SHIT.

It is so nice when it is sunny EVERY day and you can actually go film and go skate whenever you feel like it. There´s no rain and wet streets that will stop you. I want to move to LA. The Channel Islands flag store in LA. Great folks. Pic: Thomas Aske Berg. Visited DC flag store and Channel Islands flag store in LA today, and they were overwhelming. I was suprised by the lack of service at DC, but the shop looks amazing. So much great products and smart inventions and details. Very impressing. Loved the custom series by Rob Dyrdek "MYOL" (Make YOur Own Luck). The DC shop interior and products was very nice. The Channel Island shop was great. Super service minded surfers working there and great products. This is heaven for surfers. Kelly Slater are surfing for this company and there were a couple of very rare shapes by him there. Lots of shoes in the DC shop. That DC got Chris Cole on the team might be the best thing ever happening for DC. They had some Cole DC decks too.

The Venice Ale House crew. Yet another sunny day in LA. Had a nice lunch and meeting with Singh Spoon (Founder and Owner of Venice Ale House. Beside me on the pic above). And "wall to wall" from Venice Ale House there is an ARBOUR SKATEBOARDS flag store that has dozens of longboards in all sizes, shapes and graphics. Many graphics are custom collabs with artists. Nearly all the clothes were organic and much was made of Bamboo/Cotton blend. The guys working there were very service minded and got very fascinated by SHIT. They loved it. Arbour specialize in longboards, but also make normal decks and FIRE WIRE surfboards - all with natural wood look and/or good graphics. This is good inspiration. Here you find cruisers/longboards for every taste and use. A classic Cali picture.

It is summer time that normally means no waves on the west coast of Norway. So this day was different! It felt like I was in California. (Where I will be next week as a matter of fact). Our peak surf season is when the winter storms are out in the Atlantic from late September throughout March. And then it is freezing and ice cold. But yesterday the weather Gods showed us their good side, something that seldom happens ? good swell, low wind, warm water and sun. It became an epic surf sesh. I have been in dialog with the boys at DUFFS in US and they are still going strong. But it is a shame that their products are not available here in Norway... Well, back to work!

BOMB STICKERS - NOT COUNTRIES! (GUERILLA MARKETING)

A cute and harmless BOMBING a car of a good friend of mine. (Namely Roar Berge, Norway´s first hard core surfer. Roar is still ripping). Footy by Tania Nyberg. Everybody loves stickers. Everybody that is! Young or old ? our generation and the new generation just love it. Maybe the elder hate it? I don´t know. I guess so. Stickers is something we find defying us as a person ? stating our image kind of. Weather it is fly-fishing equipment, graffiti, tattoo, surfing, MMA, skateboarding or whatever. The mix of stickers and logos on your car or laptop makes you namely the one you are! Stickers are something that catches our attention and fascination when we are kids. As kids we just get super stoked on getting em and we stick em on our bedroom door, skateboard, pc, mobile phone or just wherever. Interesting side note: It took us quite a long time, nearly two years, and four collections, before we got the perfect sized popular SHIT Talking Bubble paper hang tag shaped as our bubble logo and as a real sticker ? fitting perfectly in the die-cut of our SHIT perforated grip. One of our best ways of marketing back in the days, we are talking about 2000 to 2004, was to bomb with our SHIT Talking Bubble Logo stickers wherever we travelled... Ski lifts, road signs, night clubs, skate parks, bins, road lights, the city picture etc. At some party´s we put em on random peoples back while patting them and saying "hi man/girl... ohh, my mistake... you looked like a friend of mine", and they were walking around with a sticker on their back all night ? a funny and super effective way of local marketing. Bombing was so effective that we gave thousands and thousands of stickers away. It cost lots of bucks. But we got our name out there, people have noticed the name and logo ? and often just didn´t know what it was about. And the curiosity stuck in their mind inconstantly until they read about us in a mag or online. There was a time that we got so many complaints, from other random shops, private persons who had our stickers on their car´s or mail boxes, the government because of road signs etc etc. that we had to quit giving them away for free. The reason for all the "negative and harmful" bombing is that people (often kids) had so many SHIT stickers that they stupidly stuck them all over... who to blame? Off course we who gave them away for free naturally. Today stickers still cost a few bucks, but upon purchase we off course give some for free. Interesting side note: I got accused for bombing a bar in my home town where my girlfriend worked ? I was kicked out for twelve months... No joke. At that time I did nearly no bombing myself but people (crew and friends) went berserk. Sometimes even people get wild and put the stickers on their ass, forehead, tits (we are now talking about girls), or rad guys with the sticker on the chest or wherever. We got dozen funny pics. I add a couple here. I have even bombed role models like Danny Montoya, Kenny Anderson and Jeremy Wray (my hero back in the days) at ISPO tradeshow many years ago. They thought it was hilarious. The SHIT Talking Bubble Logo Sticker is way funnier than "competitive" companies like Quicksilver, Volcom, Vans etc. Cause it is thousand (or even a million) times more hilarious with a SHIT bubble logo sticker on a person's back than example a square DC logo , right? (That said, I will add that I admire and look up to the mentioned companies). Bombing stickers is the definitively most effective and cheapest way of marketing ? and you hit bulls-eye of your target group. No doubt! SKATE DON`T HATE T-shirt available. HATING is an online phenomenon that is shortly defined as people HATING on other people who get some attention or shine. It is basically the Norwegian "JANTELOVEN" taking place and jealousy and there is no sense in the HATING at all. Janteloven has always existed in Norway, but I do not understand why it is so particularly strong in the skate community. I think it is just about jealousy. It is typically Norwegian. No one wants anyone to do better than themselves, and most claps hands if someone goes bankrupt. "You see, he was not better than us". I am an very active person in the skate scene in Norway, and I live by running my own skateboard brand. I mean that for me to be able to pay the salaries to my employees, go to Barcelona on a Team Trip, do the SHIT SUMMER TOURS, being able to pay my bills etc etc, it's very important for me to represent SHIT the best way possible, being a good ambassador and get in the media regurlarly. This is bothwell positive for the community, industry, my trade mark SHIT and myself. Every action has a reaction. By saying that, I need to make sure you understand what I mean... I have been lucky to get some skateboarding pictures and footy of me in assorted media. That is giving me directly energy back to keep on rolling and trying to keep it up. If a site publishes a pic of me, there are sometimes these HATERS who get so jealous that they look for things on the pic or flick that they can pic on or hate on. It can be the color of the jeans, length of hair or whatever. It is just childish and lame. If you are lucky to get some footy or pictures out there, there is always a reaction. But it should be constructive - not HATE. That the comments/HATING is always anonymous tells more about that they got tiny-winy small balls than that there are any fact or sense in their comment/HATE. I have been skateboarding very active since beginning of 90´s. Many year´s before that I was just fooling around on a second hand plastic banana board that I bought for 100Kr (About 19US$). That makes over two decades skateboarding. Skateboarders should unite and back each other up so everybody is lifted up to a greater level, instead of HATING on each other and keeping everybody down. I am a very active surfer as well as skateboarder. I have been surfing with Norway´s best surfer for over a decade. I see both sides of these communeties. One of the big differences is that surfers back each other up and stand together fighting for the right to surf in terms it is prohibited to surf on West Coast of Norway in peak surf season. This summer I choose to make a SHIT Team board with my name on and from an authentic spot and a real trick performed with the statement "SKATE DON'T HATE" on, and at the bottom there is this little kid hiding behind his computer HATING on me. This stereo-type kid has most likely-, like HATERS not the skills to perform this trick at all. And find silly things to HATE on. Take a closer look on the graphics. The SKATE DON`T HATE Team Deck. By HATING on people, much energy is used, and it will sooner or later totally fade out and the HATERS become tired of the childish HATING and they start playing golf or chess or something else because their skateboarding skills suck. Or some come over on the "LOVERS" side and keep on skateboarding and throw SHINE on fellow skateboarders and quit the HATING. With the launch I added the picture series of the real trick so people and HATERS get confirmed that the trick is busted. FREE posters are also available in our shops. A T-shirt with the statement SKATE DON'T HATE is also available. This is the poster you can pick up at our shops. Limited. For you REAL SKATEBOARDERS, who have been at the spot, you know that this trick at this spot is not an easy task. I Busted the trick after about 10 tries, the photographer didn´t get it right, and it took me another hour and over 50 tries to nail it properly again. And when busted, it just felt super good! California Girl Surfing in Norway

It has been a while since last time. But what the heck. That´s just how it is. Surf´s up! Tania and me just before we hit the waves! I was out surfing the mellow summer waves at JAEREN just outside Stavanger. Yes! This is my hometown. But I have been spending almost all my time in Oslo since beginning of 2009 when I opened the SHIT FLAG STORE OSLO. With me I had "The California Girl" aka Tania. She used to live here, but haven´t been around for over a decade, and what more perfect welcoming her to Norway surfing the cold Atlantic?!? She was surfing my favorite SHIT surfboard; a fat, wide, pale pink 5,10 twin fin. She tackled it pretty good in the thick 7mm wetsuit. Hahaha! She is normally only surfing in a bikini in California, so she struggled quite a bit in the beginning. The waves were mellow like our summer surf is, just nice being in the sea. Biggest sets this day was just over a meter, so it was pretty mellow! No wind and a beautiful sun set. All in all a super nice evening, with a cool California girl and a goog surf sesh! These boots are NOT made for walking! Hahahah! Tania is a pro photographer working for many major global companies, and among them are Billabong, Nikon, Axe, Arbour, Roxy and many more. Her new project is THE REBEL. A quite raw art photography, lifestyle mag/book. One of her favorite subjects is Shaun Palmer. She said he is awesome. I would love to meet him! OLUMPUS MJU II - BARCELONA

My semi vintage point-and-shoot 34mm Olumpus Mju II camera. (1997). Barcelona was a blast and we all had a hell of a time. I recently digged out a semi old school compact camera from some old boxes in the bacement. A typical 35mm "Point and Shoot" camera with active auto focus. I bought it in 1997. Then it was kinda cool as it was water repellant. But it is pretty cool to take snapshots with. My first trip with it was Barcelona. NOTE! No editing, cropping, color adjustments, or anything at all what so ever are done on any of these pics! Here are some snapshots... :P Ellngsen portrait. Line at a famous and nice spot. KICK OFF 2010 - BARCELONA TEAM TRIP- DAY V

So many funny things happen on tour. Tonnesen got robbed today. That was pretty bad as thei got a analog camera with lot's of great shots. Damn what a shame! There was a lot of wind on some of the spots today. Despite that Kim P were killing it. This Nollie Invward Heel into this bank was just on the return from a good spot were I busted a lot of tricks and lines. Happy that we caought it on both photo and film. Will be revealed soon for sure. This was just another productive day for me personally. I was surprised over my self as a matter of fact. That's stokeness! :) The Bs Tailslide to fakie up this ledge on the pic below was also a spot we found cruising from one spot to another we had in mind. I also nailed a line here, so you'll see the Back tail on film too. :) Kim with a nollie inward heel. Ellingsen with a wallie Bs 50-50. This is one of my favorite spots. KICK OFF 2010 - BARCELONA TEAM TRIP- DAY IV

Pjuuh! Even on a "vecation" it's hard to find time to blog and edit pictures. Day four was hard but good, and we got another productive day with lot's of tricks and lines busted despite everyone had a bad hangover from New Year's Eve until early morning! It was pretty windy and kinda cold. But despite of that the boys busted a lot of tricks on new locations. Here are some pics from our New Year's Celebration. We had such a good time that everybody for some reason forgot about the time, and we were 10minutes overtime before one of us took a look at the wath... 00:10! We were already in 2010! We had a good laugh and cheered and partyed until early morning... The crew! :) The two new lads on the boat! KICK OFF 2010 - BARCELONA TEAM TRIP- DAY III

Risi and Ellingsen in a good mood on a nice location somewhere in Barcelona. First: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yesterday, the final day of the fabulous year of 2009, and day three on this trip, was a very exhausting and terrible day!!! Why? We woke up early, met Ellingsen 45minutes too late at Starbucks, it started raining... Some of the crew overslept, some got lost, some had no more battery on their phone so we couldn't reach them, some had no keys, some got split... We cruised streets and walked all over Barca and spent a lot of time in the underground from stop to stop trying to locate spots and to find the others and hook up. The day started 08:00 and the first trick went down about 15:00!!! So a lot of lurking around. :P Spanish Oranges tastes about 10 times better here than back home in Norway. Amazingly fresh and tasty! Here is the smashed jar filled with water or something. Pretty sick and lucky that noeone got hit. Tonnesen, our golden boy, at work. Classic Bs Tailslide. KICK OFF 2010 - BARCELONA TEAM TRIP- DAY II

23 degrees Celcius makes one hot! :P Day two, with 23 Degrees Celcius, here in Barca started really slow, because everybody were tired and worn out from day one... Classic failure kicking to much upon arrival day and using too much energy. Despite that, after nearly all day was "wasted"... We got busted and kicked out of the POLICIA two times, and the sunset came to early, we captured some great tricks on both film and pictures. Some leftovers are shown here below. We're having a blast in Barca, and we're very productive. Enjoy... Some spanish lunch snacks and fresh pressed orange-juice between the sessions... Risi, Ellingsen and me. KICK OFF 2010 - BARCELONA TEAM TRIP

Stavanger as we left... The winter arrived our hometown with a white layer of snow for about week ago. Ice cold but still able to get some skateboarding down in our local park and some surf as the surf season just kicked in. We've planned this 2010 KICK OFF team tour to Barcelona for a long time, and it was Ellingsen that pushed it trough. (Thank's Ellingsen?). We were all super happy to leave the ice cold North and chill in Barcelona for s while. Risi and Kim departing ice cold Norway! It is Ellingsen, Kim, Tonnesen together with Risi on camera 1 and 2 and I on photography. Some footy and pics of both Risi and me will also be captured and published. ;) The crew... Arriving Barca was pretty nice, warm and comfortable. Ellingsen arrived a day before us and confirmed 18degree Celsius and sun. Warm as hell. Cruising the streets in only a T-shirt. Our first day has been very neat. Kim busted a insane banger that ever have been done on the spot before. And it was perfect. We captured it on Tape cam, HD cam and Photography... You just wait and see! ;) But he suffered with some rough bails before he busted it. That is for sure. Kim preparing... Kim STOKED! NO DOUBT! :D Tonnesen warming up with a Sw Bs 5050. EPIC SURF SESSION WITH SHIT SURF RAT BLUE

This Saturday was just awesome. After a wild party @ a friends place with amazing dinner and lot's of models aka hot chix on Friday, waking up late Saturday with a mellow hangover, Blue aka Jan Erik Jensen called me out for surfing... And as the pictures truly and honestly states it was EPIC! No doubt! And with only a few heads/friends in the water it was a perfect session with loads of waves for everyone! This is how beautiful a surf spot can be. This is something NOT to do: Dropping in on someone that already are charging a wave. We call those RP (Ronke Pelle) aka Wanker. This is so few people that it can't even been described as a crowd... This is a "Five-0"... It's me there yeah! This is Blue aka Jan Erik Jensen with a powerful cutback. Surfing is a pretty neat and good feeling thing to do. Sometimes you just feel complete after a surf session or while you are out in the water chillin between the sets. You just feel lucky and in harmony within yourself and your beeing. I know you core skaters are laughing of this statement, and you NEVER get that feeling of skateboarding. It's sad but true. I got good sk8 pal's that surf and confirms this for shure. But as a skateboarder in my heart I also have surfing as a true passion. And I love it both! :D This is Blue, my good friend-, rat-, team surfer-, surf mentor and oracle. Super happy after a good session. Oh! For the record.... The water is approx 5 degree Celcius. It is awesome to own a skateboard company. One of the advantages is definetivly when ur out skateboarding, snapping boards or just wearing them out, and picking out a brand new deck for FREE! That is a great feeling! :) I can imagine that PROS and sponsored skateboarders do get the same good feeling. But I admit that sometimes I have forgotten to think about how great this actually is! Lena Skaar Storseth that we collaborate with regarding the SHIT JEWELRY is also a wonderful teacher at St.Svithun school downtown Stavanger. And for a while ago she started on a project were she involved SHIT JEWELRY that she is a big part of, and us at SHIT, and they had a class were the project was to come up with recycled products out of skateboard decks that our Team skaters Mentzoni, Tonnesen, Ellingsen and Kim P had worn out. The products was on display and for sale during an auction for a project to collect money to poor people in poor contries. The outcome of the project is amazing. I am super proud to inspire these "kiddoes", and trigger them to come up with products that they came up with... A nice Belt bucle... A CD Rack. A smart deck display. Sunglasses made of a used skateboard! How wild is that!?? :) Assorted key-rings. A bunch of nice neclesses... SHIT RULES!! No doubt!!! Rulers made of skateboards!!! Cool! Slingshot!!! What??? This is my personal favourite!!! :D This is just a selection of all the cool products that the class came up with. If you got a good idea, just don't sit there! Get on it! Make it!!! ...And send us a pic! Will launch it for sure! ;) Here is a part of the creative crew together with Lena and me. The local TV was also at present and made a story that got broadcasted. Scotland is a sad place to live. It is gray and few good lookin girls. How can people live there? Anyway! I'm here with some of my good friends and surfer friends. We're having a hell of a time, surfing the shit out of us! The Mustage Crew! Fresh mustages on the surf holiday! :D Hahahahaha! From Left: Yngve, Dyngis, Steffen and me. Double head (meaning very big and two persons over each other in wave height). Freakin scary and a bit dangerous becasue the sea is shallow and reef's are sharp and hard. It is raining on and off so my skateboard is still in the HOTEL ROYAL hotel room. We stay in Noth in Thurso. Very good surf here! But nothing more.... well, a couple of pubs that we visit every night for some wine, beer and Scottich pool. Gray Scottish streeets. Thurso spot. Radioactive spot! NO JOKE!!! I am just back in Stavanger at SHIT HQ. Have been here for a couple of days now, and it is wounderful. The crew working here is amazing! :) The other day the wind blew in HAGGIS front figure and vocal OTTAR. He is a awesome and crazy guy! Whenever he is visiting he somehow walk out with his hand full of stash... I just don't dear to say no!!! OTTAR has been a supporter and fan since forever. And it is vice verca! A couple of good shots of me street skataboarding on my secret and beautiful spots were exposed on tacky.no. Hidden spots in Mekjarvik outside Randaberg that is my hometown (countryside) just outside Stavanger and in Oslo. It is my good friend Alex that shot em. He is awesome! Maybe Norways best skate AND party photographer! :D Second try (Yes! Believe it or not!!!) BS Kickflip at Randaberg. I love BS flips and I love Randaberg!!! :) ` Nollie Bs Tailslide by the ferry harbour at Merkjarvik outside Randaberg. I was supposed to pull of a Bs Nosegrind... We were there for hours. I asked Alex about the time, and he said "soon 200 pics of bails". I just had to realize I could not pull it of. But the location is so beautiful, and the spot is not skated. So I busted one of my favorite tricks on a couple of tries. :) This one is neat! Love this one. Also a secret spot by the harbour in Oslo. Steep handy rock to fakie! Our product development is a continous ride were new items pop up randomly. Some good that goes to life, and some not so good that never gets published or is changed or just published in future when the time is right. But this new SHIT SK8 TROLL got fame and got exposed long time before it was planned. It is a true Norwegian souvenir - but with a little twist - our twist; A skateboard and a SHIT singlet. These SHIT SK8 TROLLS will be available in shops and online hopefully before X-mas. So pay attention in close future. The SHIT SK8 TROLL exposed in a video on tacky.no regarding Norwegian Skateboarding Championship faces - and it is named FRODE GOA! Hehehe! :)

Nuart Opening was a blast! The works in SKUR 2 down by the harbour are just insane. And all the different pieces legal/unlegal around the city are just wild! I am super proud to be a partner of this important cultural festival. It is just insane that the worlds leading street artists are here in town. Wearing our NuSHIT T-shirts!!! :) Asmund Wikene with a cool powerplant on the vertical quarterpipe. Eirik Svensen (ex SHIT flow skater) with a powerful fs wallie. Leon, our hero, cruisin in a shopping basket transformed into a cool office chair! He is one of the important artists and bricks of the whole Nuart! We skated for about an hour. Gustav Tonnesen took some pics that will be exposed on nuart.no and shittm.com soon! A whole lot of cool tricks went down! Unfortunately I did not get a snapshot of the artist DVS that cruised with my skateboard with a glas beer in his hand. He pulled of a couple of heel flips... A bit rusty there! :D

...This is too weird to be real. This is the third time in just a few months that two girlfriends drop by the shop and purchase their own SHIT Criuserboards. I took a snapshot of the first two girls purchasing, and it was kinda cute I thought! My good friend Ellingsen became a SHIT Team skater recently. I am very proud to have him onboard. He is a hell of a guy! (As a matter of fact, I am pushing him these days to get his own blog up here on shittm.com... You will love it). ;) The other day, picking him up as we were going for a photo/film skate session in Big O, I caught him with his pants down... And with the pants on his lap, stitching the croatch as it has split. He said all his pant's splits in the croatch. It is damn good spirit to stitch em jeans up instead of throwing them away! And it is a jolly old school thing to do too! Keeping it up and keeping it real! :D Oh! By the way: Ellingsen are these days testing the SHIT LA Jeans (Slim). The deal is that he shall wear it all the time, every skate session and ellswhere. He have worn them for a week now, had many skate sessions, and it has not split! (The jeans have 2% stretch). That's pretty good!

This past weekend at KANALSESSION in Horten was a blast! Just can't understand how Tonnesen just keep charging in every street contest! He skates insane! I am superstoked that he won! The complete team and crew were at KANALSESSION. But Ellingsen had to leave early as he is moving out from his current appartment. Anyway, the rest of us had a awesome time. The skatepark is improved and might be Norway's best skatepark. And it is just an hour away from Downtown Oslo were we have the SHIT shop. Mentzoni with some annoying kiddoes! :) Hahahaha! The business was damn good, and lot's of stoked kids and parents visited us. Some to buy some products and some just to get autographs and some free stickers. It was pretty filled up on the most busy moments. But it is all fun. Mentzoni emptyed two brand new pens... They ran out of ink as he signed so many boards, clothes, arms, boobs... etc etc. Hahahaha! :) I got some stoked kids requiring mi autograph as well! On boards, stickers and T-shirts! You know our BRO Team skater Tonnesen won the entire champs again. It is quite amazing that this "little" young scredder, only 17years of age, beats the hell out of all the "old" rutine contest skateboarders. And he skates smooth as silke. I am super stoked! :D During the champs weekend our team get a lot of attention, wich is flattering and fun. Many kiddoes get super stoked to get our autographs. And it is a great feeling giving em. Also many kiddoes want's sprayed logos on their grip and alos on their clothing... It is also amazing to talk with kiddoes, their parents and friends, about skateboarding, attitude, the brand, history and more. They all get very interrested and stoked. ANd it is a true pleasure providing my passion and life; SHIT and skateboarding. Here are a bunch of random pics from the weekend... Enjoy! Some kids gettin logos sprayed on their board! We just arrived Bergen's pride; FYSAK HALLEN. A major new skatepark that set the new standard for skateparks in The Kingdom of Norway. Gigantic indoor skatepark with bowl and a very neat street course. A Micro ramp as well. Also showers, café with lots of snack and food. And the skatepark is also built so there is very low noise even if lot's of dudes are skateboarding. After cruising it I must say I LOVE IT! Yes! With BIG letters!!! ? These pics are from the outside, we arrived too late to get a skate session... Damn! ..the reason why we're here is because FYSAK HALLEN are hosting the NORWEGIAN SKATEBOARDING CHAMPIONSHIP 2009!!! Oohlala! After moving to Oslo, Team buddy ELlingsen have taken me to the coolest place in big o, namely BLAA, on sundays when Frank Znort Quartet is playing. Live jazz! It has turned out to be MAGIC!!! If you are in big o, or are going to soon, include a sunday at BLAA with FZQ!!! Warmly recommended! The atmosphere are just amazing, and the place are packed - and this is a sunday! Damn! :) Have had many of these wild sundays since February - and the sundays become even better and better! I would not think that was possible! BELIEVE ME!!! This sunday I brought some friends from SHIT CITY that were in big o! For nearly two years ago the brilliant idea about using the iconish MARIUS sweater pattern on skateboards and T-shirt randomly popped up. And late last year everything was settled and I got both T's and decks in production. It is Vigdis who owns the pattern. She took over from her mom, that knitted a sweater back in late 40's. And was worn by the slalom athlete and model Marius as the sweather got its name from. It was (and always are) of my intention to do things the right way. And I am super happy that Vigdis got all stoked and excited about my idea when we first spoke by phone. I was thrilled and the ball started rolling. Recently Vigdis visited me in the Oslo shop, and she was amazed about the interior of the shop. Here's a nice pic of two heads doing the right thing - and doing it the right way! Heads up! I am super stoked about heaving the MARIUS pattern in the lineup. Thanks Vigdis for the cool collab! :)

Well! I can't believe it! And I guess you wont believe it either... Just one of these days... We hear storiies about socks that disappear, meaning some pairs get single. That sucks! And what about the stories when you wash white clothes and a colorful garment of some sort just happened to be in the same wash... Ending up with pale pink, pale blu or pale green wash!! BACK BLOG - LOVELY COINSIDENCE - RAY FLORES @ VENICE

I accidently ran into Dogtown and The Z Boy Crazy Dog aka Ray Flores during my last visit in US. Cruising at Venice Beach we met the old vize dog, and checked out his board gallary at Venice beach in LA. Ray Flores and me sitting in the back of the gallary at Venice chatting and admiring the old original Californian DOG TOWN skateboard. I was wearing one of the cool SHIT BRONZ H T-shirts as you can see on the picture (above) and that was what Ray found his quriosity and interest in as we bounced into him. I told about SHIT's "BRONZ H" project, and that I came from Norway, and we started chatting; He told about his own snowboard and apparel brand he had ages ago named "BRONZE AGE" - and stated that Norwegian snowboarding heroes Jorgen Novik and Terje Haakonsen was good friends of him, and Jorgen was PRO for BRONSE AGE back in the days. This was thrilling and we chatted for hours about Norway, BRONZE AGE and BRONZ H, SHIT and more. The gallary is amazing, the first skateboards (made by hand) in Venice was hanging on the wall together with multiple PRO models of ALVA and CRAZY DOG himself and many other important for the skateboarding history. It is RAY that did the artwork of the famous ALVA logo... I was amazed and stoked to meet him! Ray has been on the 70's Pepsi Team and have been World Champion back in the days. He has also many PRO decks. And I talked him to sell me one were he signed it as well. He is a true core skater that influensed street skateboarding in the birht of skateboarding. Ray signing his own old PRO model (replica)... This one is priding my livingroom! Ray was super stoked on SHIT, and we have been discussing a lot after this first random meeting. Since the Grand Opening of the SHIT FLAG STORE OSLO I have had visitors every weekend and also in the week days. The other day we (Mentzoni, Risi, Nearland, Lasse and Stoogi) woke up to this spectacular music an early morning. And we just had to jump up and see through the window... Way to go!!! :) We just could not believe our ears and eyes. Beautiful girls with jugling sticks, parading through our street... Followed by a big crew of musicians... They're practising to the 17.Th of may parades that will pass the Norwegian King's castle just a few minutes from the shop! Beautiful! That was a rare and fun way to start the day for sure! :) (Oh! Yes! We do have a big appartment in the floor above the shop. Not so long way to work, huh!) :)

As usual we are behind schedual... This is the hundred times I've been yelled at from one of my photographers. And it sucks! But it is a great way to be pushed as hell to do a effective shoot, and to serve the model, photographer, stylist etc. :) I introduced the model (Monica Ovregaard) to the stylist (Nail stylist and hair stylist and makeup guy). Right after the holidays we open the SHIT FLAG STORE in OSLO. The making of the shop interior has been a very exciting project, which Espen and Philip at Ramp Service have built by hand. (Professional ramp and bowl hand crafters). Off course I have been goofing around making the building location unsafe... Hahaha! ? The important thing is to take part is what is said! As you know, our shop in Stavanger is RAMPY (the whole shop is a big ramp). And the shop in Oslo is a step further with bowl corners and round corners. As mentioned in the opening post, I've just moved to Oslo. The reason is rigging up the upcoming SHIT FLAG STORE Oslo in Torggt 25, where I also live on the 2nd floor. Living in Oslo is pretty cool. Lot's of things happening all the time. Too much happening... Have been here since Feb, and there are 6 INDOOR skateparks within one hour drive. That is luxury! 1. Husmania (Tight ass rad underground park) 2. The yellow house (Cool ramp) 3. Fredrikstad skatepark 4. Arena (Some pics in the opening Blog) 5. Nostedhallen (Where we do the SHIT SK8 CAMP) 6. Haugenstua. I have had many good sk8 sessions in them all exept the yellow hose! ...yet that is! Anyway... the sun is shining and the snow is melting. So we sk8 a lot in the streets. Getting some on tape and some pic's. Here are some snapshots... (Above) I am capturing good ol pal Oystein Ellingsen "on tape" with a Sw Fs noseslide shuvit Bodyvarial. Well! It is about time that a Blog is on this site. And it is me, Frode Goa, that founded the brand together with my pal Kim Stokke back in 2000 that will blog here. Bloging is HOT and I will put up a lot here; product developning, people behind the scenes, inspiration, roadtrip stories, and all other stuff related to my little baby, namely SHIT. You will frankly be more updated here on this blog than out there on the Official SHIT site. So stay tuned and pop by every now and then for some refill! Pardon in advance for NOT checking spelling before bloging. I'm just letting it flow through. First blog coming up will be the LA tour I did recently.
